Hurrah my heating is fixed . So rather than sitting in and enjoying what feels like a heat-wave, I'll be out. 1830 Shaws Bridge Car Park, setting off quickly after. Too cold (and icy) to be standing around long so wrap up warm. See you there. A.

A bit of a miserable start to the night when I left the house with Graham, with a fair amount of rain falling and the temperature falling just as fast, the run looked like it was going to be tricky. Over to Shaw's where Robbie was already waiting and then once Stuart arrived we were off. After a few minutes I didn't even notice I was wet and it was more a feat of trying to stay upright! Coming off some of the muddy corners there were pockets of ice and I was being sabotaged by my own "elephant in the room". "Mind that hole!"...I fall into the hole; "Mind that rock!"...I hit the rock. "Slow down here"...back end slides away.I should have kept quiet . There were a few controlled slides on black ice, me coming off in the play park, Stuart having a lye-down just after, getting home in one piece was the mission. A steady 25miles and home to a nice warm house . These are the gloves I was wearing last night: Speg Repela Max. These are similar: Speg Gloves
